TATUM O’NEAL
Tatum Beatrice O’Neal remains the youngest person ever to win an Academy Award. In 1974, she won this honor for her performance in the movie “Paper Moon” which was released in 1973. She was ten years old when she won the award. She also stared in “The Bad News Bears” and “Little Darlings”.
Ryan O’Neal and Joanna Cook Moore are her parents. Her parents were divorced in 1967 and her mother passed away in 1997. Tatum has mentioned her mother’s drug and alcohol abuse issues along with her father’s abusive temper. When her parents divorced, her father had custody and in her autobiography, “A Paper Life”, she discusses her risqué upbringing that involved sex, drugs and alcohol.
