Matthew McConaughey and girlfriend of two years Camila Alves have welcomed a son Monday night. The baby, the first child for both, was born at 6:22 p.m. in Los Angeles, weighing in at 7 lbs., 4 oz.
Levi Alves McConaughey is the first child for McConaughey, 38, and girlfriend Camila Alves, 25, a model and handbag designer. The baby's name is another name for the apostle Matthew in the Bible. (The baby's middle name, Alves, is in honor of the actor's girlfriend.)
McConaughey was spotted carrying the baby out of UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica, around 3:45 p.m. Thursday. Looking tired, Alves, 24, got in the passenger seat of a car; McConaughey got in the back seat, holding the baby.
